Whew, it's been a while.
I've pretty much abandoned this blog over the past year, I simply haven't had the time to create new content up to the standard that I desire. I've contemplated abandoning it completely, but I like the idea of having an anonymous platform to pursue my hobbies, without being judged for it.
And so, I've come to the following conclusion:
I won't be updating and posting new content as fervently as I used to, especially since I'm entering my 17th year and this presents a whole new set of challenges.
As such I'll still be posting articles every now and then, whenever my life gives me small breaks to indulge in writing about my hobby. I'll probably focus more on major developments in my life relating to the hobby, and any LEGO i come across on my vacations out of our Little Red island.
But, enough of that, you'll understand what I mean when you see it.
2015 has given me many opportunities, gifting me many friends and many freedoms.
One of the best things that have happened is that I've gotten a debit card and PayPal account (may or may not have had parental approval), which has given me more options and access to new, cheaper and exclusive sets.
One of the worst things that have happened is that I'm absolutely crushed by a combination of school, family and social life. Hence the suspicious lack of posts since my Hong Kong 2014 trip.
Whatever it is, I'm back now, so yeah.
I'll be posting a few more articles I've been working on (some reviews, some ramblings), so that's that for now.
Have a great Christmas!!

HK December 2014 Trip Review: Toys 'R Us HK
Whew I'm finally done with this article!
Before we begin, I'd really like to apologize for how long it took me to write this relatively short post, but school has been getting more intense in my final year of Secondary School so I've been really busy. I really do seek your understanding that all my future posts would be delayed as well!
Now, on to the good stuff.
As you all should know by now, Toys R Us is a multinational chain of Toy Stores, and pretty much is the largest retailer of toys worldwide. Since this is a LEGO blog, I'll be zooming in on the relevant bricky-bits that we all know and love.

Busy Busy Busy
Just a quick note.
Its been almost 3 weeks since the last entry, so I apologize for not keeping to the 1/2 per week goal I set myself.
I'm working on the TRU review/brief shopping guide now, and school has been pretty busy with OC and all. I hope to get it done soon.
On a side note, progress on the UCS SSD is stalled, I've 3 more LEGO sets that need building and my room is a mess. My LEGO Business is going smoothly though.
Until next time.

HK December 2014 Trip Review: BRICKSTIME
Oh well I'm back again to start off the new school year by going back to my wonderful memories of Hong Kong back in December 2014. This is my second post regarding my December Trip, the first one being an introduction, and this will cover the LEGO Monobrand Store chain known as BRICKSTIME. They operate an Online Store and Website, which you can check out here.
BRICKSTIME is a chain of LEGO Monobrand Stores that has outlets around Hong Kong. During my trip I visited all of their outlets, the first of which was at The ONE Mall along Nathan Road in Kowloon (Nearest MTR is Tsim Tsa Shui) and the store at Hysan Place in Causeway Bay (Nearest MTR is Causeway Bay). Both of these stores were relatively small, but had an impressive range of products despite the limited shelf space.
Just to be clear, I didn't buy anything from either of these shops (I spent all my cash on In's Point) but there were a lot of items that I would have bought if I had more money to spend.
BRICKSTIME operates like any other local Monobrand Store chain, and bears the greatest similarity to the Secret Chamber chain of local LEGO Shops. They carry a number of exclusives, UCS and retired sets which is similar to Secret Chamber, but they do not do consignment for 3rd party sellers. I am not too sure if they have any membership programme, but I usually don't bother asking unless I have a local address I can use for the sign-up.
While I was there in early December, I noticed that like most LEGO Shops they were already sold-out of the LEGO Advent Calendars. Instead, they surprisingly had the entire Winter Village theme including the LEGO Exclusive giveaway products. On top of that, they had a a number of UCS Batman Tumblers, UCS R2-D2s, UCS Imperial Shuttle, both Volkswagen LEGO Models and the CREATOR Expert Sydney Opera House.
And especially since I am a Star Wars collector, I noticed several retired LEGO sets tucked away behind some of the newer sets. These included a pretty old variant of the AAT, Hoth Echo Base and the 2011 and 2012 Star Wars Advent Calendars.

Just like Secret Chamber, BRICKSTIME also stocks Polybags.
They had a pretty wide variety of Polybags, and I can say that I would have swiped all the Star Wars ones if my wallet weren't so empty. Unfortunately, the prices of polybags here were super high, the cheapest being HKD $149. For those of you with more money than I have, and are on the hunt for rare polybags, then this is the place to go.
So, I guess thats it for this entry. Now its time for me to go to LEGO's website to get my fill of the new 2015 Star Wars sets. Look out for my next post on HK Toys R Us!
